Effective time management can help you lead a healthier life and render you more productive, with satisfactory work and relaxation time. Or, poor time management can not only lead to poor productivity but also undue amounts of stress.

Amid assorted other things, keeping a track of the activities you must do can help you a great deal in resource management. When you know all the activities that you must perform, you’ll be able to allot correct point to each task. You’ll even be in a position to steer through the not-so-important jobs and enhance your overall potency.

Keeping a record of various activities will help you know the areas where you waste your time. You might just be whiling away browsing the web, traveling, reading mails, chatting and the like.

Record your activities for a few weeks and you would then come to know about the time wasted in the daily running order. You can reduce this by changing unpleasant habits. Sort through your mails and divide it into categories including “read now” and “read later”. You’ll also notice that much of what you think you must read later was not very important anyway. Furthermore, read your mail at the same time each day.

If you have several tasks to do inside a stipulated period of time, make a checklist as you work on every one of them. Also, determine whether some of the tasks can be delegated to some other person who isn’t as overloaded with work as you and may help you with it.

You may also try to debate terms with the people you are working with to see whether they can afford you more time. While planning your time function and ability to deliver work, remember to keep aside emergency time slots for sudden but urgent activities and appropriate team work.

You should learn the distinction between Where I deserve to be using my time on?” and In which place am I required?” you need to also learn the excellence between Am I needed to to this task at this time” and “Is there any need of doing this task.Effective time managers know very clearly the easiest way to go about these questions in order that they do not waste any time.

Time management takes practice. Ask yourself whether the task at hand is what you want or have to be doing at this actual moment. If the answer is yes, by all means, go ahead and do it.

Have a place for everything and put everything in its place. This will help you locate things more easily when you are looking for them. It will help you stay stress free.Such simple measures will help you save more minutes per day and even hours that may help you perform your task with more productivity.
